> Celebrating its first holiday season in Minnesota, Holiday Lights in
> the Park is a new community event that focuses on raising funds for
> local charities and providing an impressive and affordable means of
> holiday entertainment for people of all ages. Visitors will enjoy a
> spectacular array of holiday lights and animated displays as they take
> an evening drive through Phalen Park in Saint Paul. The delightful
> tour is approximately 0.6 miles in length along Lake Phalen and Phalen
> Golf course. All net proceeds of the event will be distributed to
> local charities in the Twin Cities.

> Hours of Operation: 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm each day

> partnerships by distributing more than 40 million pounds of food and

> programs in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.

> Union Gospel Mission: Working to meet the physical, emotional,
> spiritual, and educational needs of the economically disadvantaged
> men, women and children of the Twin Cities, through a variety of
> life-changing programs and services

> Saint Paul Parks Conservancy Foundation: Securing resources to
> enhance parks and recreational opportunities in Saint Paul.

> UnderConstruction: Teaching youth what it takes to be an employable
> worker. Introducing high school students to the construction trades
> to explore the possibilities of a construction career.

> City of Saint. Paul: Mayor Coleman is excited to see Holiday
> Lights in the Park become a holiday tradition in the Twin Cities!
> The Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department has been instrumental
> in getting the event launched.

> International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW): The Saint Paul
> and Minneapolis chapters of IBEW are combining forces to be the
> “Presenting Sponsor” for Holiday Lights in the Park. In addition to
> committing staff resources and funds to the project, IBEW is providing
> the electrical improvements and equipment to make this light up.

> King of Kings Lutheran Church, Woodbury: Kings of Kings has taken a
> leadership role in getting this project off the ground. The church
> will continue to provide support through management of the
> event.
