The Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) is hosting the 16th annual Solar Boat Regatta at Lake Phalen on Saturday, May 17, 2008, from 10AM to 4PM.

Teams of solar powered boats will race in order to educate middle and high school students about solar energy and engineering. The family event is open to the public, features live music from the Nick Hass trio, and refreshments will be served for participants by Izzy’s Ice Cream.
