Event Description:

RIVER/WATERSHED CLEAN UP – 10:00 AM – Gluek Park

Join us for a flurry of activity during our Annual River / Watershed Clean Up. We’ll provide gloves and some bags, you pick up the trash. Clean up volunteers are welcome for breakfast as well. If you’re not entirely in the mood to clean, or are so efficient you get done early, you can have fun with activities from the Science Museum of MN; build a birdhouse; ask questions of Naturalists about composting, plant selection and more. The MN Raptor Center is also back with the Bald Eagle and other birds of prey. Groups are welcome.

New this year is a FREE residential electronic waste (recycling) drop off. Bring in your old TV’s, computers, cell phones, speakers, and more to make room in your garage and to keep them out of landfills. This drop off can not accept car batteries or appliances.

The morning ends with the official Grand Re-Opening of Gluek Park complete with elected officials, cake and Gluek Family members. Come enjoy the park now that all the asbestos is finally gone. Breakfast, the clean up, fun activities, and e-waste drop off are free.

THEATER | "White Sheep of the Family," a sharp farce at Theatre in the Round

You’re not going to find a stronger theater company in the Twin Cities than the Theatre in the Round Players, and they’ve done it again, mounting yet anotther first-rate production. The White Sheep of the Family, by L. du Garde Peach and Ian Hay, is a splendidly written, sharply directed, beautifully acted farce you’re going to rush home and tell family, friends—pretty much anyone who’ll listen—all about.
