TCDP TOP PICK | Bill Murray possibly (not) crashing parties in Minneapolis

08/14/2012 (All day)

TCDP TOP PICK: It's a well-established fact that Bill Murray likes to crash parties from time to time, so when it was announced that Murray was going on a "party crashing tour" of the United States, the Internet lit up. Facebook events were created and plans were laid in accordance with Murray's instructions: the party must have alcohol and karaoke available, and must display a sign reading BILL MURRAY CAN CRASH HERE.

The rub: the whole tour is a big joke put on by the humor site Superofficialnews.com. The "24 Hour Bill Murray Party Crashing Tour Hotline" is the phone number for the Westboro Baptist Church. Contrary to the posted schedule (PDF), Bill Murray will almost certainly not be crashing parties in Minneapolis on the night of August 14...but why not throw a party and put a banner out anyway? - Jay Gabler
