Foreclosures are mostly done illegally by banks. In this case, instead of saying "We are different from the bank that is foreclosing on your home", Tracy should have clarified the situation by contacting the correct agency on the spot.. This is just one facet of how banks operate to confuse, confound and discourage home owners from getting justice. It's another version of "I'm just doing my job." We are not fooled. The more foreclosures, the less security in the community, and the less security for those living in gated communities, also. This epidemic of foreclosure will cause a breakdown of society, and sooner or later, the police may figure out that they are part of the 99%. There are officers out there who aren't really thinking straight, in an ethical way or they wouldn't be helping the banks with foreclosure and they would demand the permanent shutdown of the DRE program. Evicting people illegally from their home is the opposite of "protect and serve".
