I am glad to see TC Planet is doing this kind of investigative work. It is sad to see that in charter schools, the administration forces its agenda on the teachers by hiring and firing at will. This creates an atmosphere of fear where good ideas to improve are extinguished. Ms. Johnson had worked there for four years. Suddenly at the end of the fourth year when teachers were trying to unionize, she is found unfit. I dont think so! US law and laws of state of Minnesota give the right to unionize to employees. I think the academy and it's administration deserves an investigation where evidence rather here say is reviewed. Who polices charter school administrators? The Somali community should expect more. And the state of Minnesota should create a formal grievance process. Non-compliant charter schools need to be reprimanded so good charter schools are not tainted by them.

Poorly Run Charter Schools
