Show suggestions for the final weekend
I like to think that I haven’t been closing down Fringe Central every night because I’ve been sick – not because I’m old. Sick and old, maybe. My endurance is down. At the end of three shows, my throat is scratchy and I can cough better than I can talk. I predict a full recovery on, say, Monday.
As we enter the closing weekend, I’m resigned to knowing that I’m just not going to see everything that I wanted to see. I’ve further complicated my life by telling Bob that Interpol is at First Avenue tomorrow night. That was a huge error in judgment. Now I’ve got Interpol tickets AND reservations for Fringe shows.

Ballad of the Pale Fisherman presented by Isabel Nelson at Mixed Blood Theatre. Friday at 7 and Sunday at 7.
Can Michael Come Out and Play? presented by Mahmoud Hakima at the Playwrights’ Center. Last chance Saturday at 4.
Underneath the Lintel presented by Pat O'Brien's Vanity Theatrics at the Jungle Theater. Last chance Sunday at 1.
Fruitcake-Ten Commandments from the Psych Ward presented by Rob Gee at the U of M Rarig Center Thrust. Last shows Friday at 5:30 and Sunday at 7.
The Bush Monologues presented by Troy Conrad at the Ritz Theater Studio. Last chance Saturday at 2:30.

ALSO on Saturday at 4 pm...
Should anyone out there WANT to see a mostly-solo show on Saturday 8/14 at 4:00 pm but NOT want to see "Can Michael Come Out And Play?" (perhaps you've seen it already, perhaps you want to be at Rarig Center for a multi-show lineup, perhaps you want your show material with more xx-chromosomes than xy...), might I recommend "Entwined", by Amy Salloway, in the Rarig Arena? Very personal material, both funny and sad, in a piece that incorporates live songs, another actor, and a giant ball of twine. NOT that "Can Michael..." isn't excellent -- it TOTALLY is -- this is just another option. :)
