Q: Who IS that? A: John James Wallace, hipster socialite
Name: John James Wallace
Twitter: @JohnWallaceMPLS, @JuiceWallace ("for even more drunken hilarity"), @FakeSleighBells
Other websites: Facebook (profile), Facebook (page), Foursquare, Flickr, Vimeo, Tumblr (johnwallacempls), Tumblr (hashtaglayoffmeimstarving), Tumblr (urbanmetropolis), Last.fm, Posterous, DailyMile, Formspring
What's your job?
"Unfortunately I was very recently laid off. If you know of anything in the service industry send it my way. But other than that I feel as if it's my job to help support, contribute, cultivate and promote all things great about the local arts scenes here in the Twin cities. Which, in my opinion, is second to none."
Other than your job, what are your claims to fame?
"I guess just being a Minneapolis hipster socialite and being a Twitter personality. I've created many a famous hashtag but most famously (or infamously) is my signature hashtag #juice. Basically it's alcohol in all its glorious forms. It was created one hot summer night at King's Wine Bar when I exclaimed, 'This white wine is delicious—it tastes just like juice!' It stuck, to say the very least. I've been called a man about town, a music nerd, a party boy, and a scenester, among other things. Also I met Lady Gaga at the Turf Club!"
What's your relationship status?
"Single. Send hot hipster dudes my way. And stay away from Alison Mosshart and Alexis Krauss."
Where are you most likely to be seen?
"First Avenue, the 7th Street Entry, the Depot Tavern, Nick & Eddie, Clubhouse Jäger, the Triple Rock, the Varsity Theater, CC Club, Sauce/Cause, The Bulldog, Liquor Lyle's, the Nomad, Bryant-Lake Bowl, Moto-i, or really anywhere there's a show, party, social event, or #juice."
Where are you most likely to not be seen?
"Bro bars, clubs, St. Paul and church."
With what people are you most likely to be seen?
I'm just going to name drop all my peeps in alphabetical order. I feel like it's easier that way.

In what neighborhood do you live now?

What's your ride?
"During the winter I walk, bum rides, bus (even though I loathe the bus), and jump into friends' cabs. The rest of they year I'm an avid biker. My ride's a 2010 61 cm Masi Speciale Fixed. My bike is very recognizable. You've probably seen it/me riding around town."
What's the best way for someone to start a conversation with you?
"'You're John Wallace, aren't you? I follow you on Twitter!' Then buy me a drink. Ha ha ha! But no, really, I love meeting new people. Just say hi! But still, buy me a drink."
