Beggar's Banquet: Art Sled Rally comes to Minneapolis Saturday!

January 26, 2012

Alan Wilfahrt

There is the chance that the sledding may be a little thin, but The Art Sled Rally says that the event will be held on this Saturday regardless or the weather. The art will go downhill beginning at 2 p.m. this Saturday January 28, 2012.

According to their website there are two side-by-side courses this year, which lends itself to possible "races". Why does Spy vs. Spy pop into my head?

Build your art sled, sign a wavier (can download form website), and join the line up starting at 1:30. Parents of minors need to sign a Parental Consent form and sledders under seven years of age must wear helmets.

The official notice says:

Revised cancellation information: Contrary to info posted on this site recently, the Art Sled Rally will not be canceled, postponed, or moved to  a different date in any circumstance. The Rally will happen at 2pm, January 28, as planned. Weather conditions will inform the nature of the sledding, as always. Thanks!
