Berkeley Avenue: An address that sells itself?

I spotted this sign this morning at the corner of Grand and Snelling in St. Paul. It seems a curious strategy for selling a house—will buyers respond to an advertisement that contains no information besides the fact that some house is for sale on Berkeley Avenue? It's been 30 years since I lived on Berkeley; perhaps in the meantime, Idealist philosophy has gained such currency that the address sells itself. (In fact, the street—previously known as Lydia Street—was renamed after UC Berkeley in 1913, probably at the request of a developer who wanted his properties to have a prestigious-sounding address.)

It’s a nice street, for

It's a nice street, for sure. Note: I read in the St. Paul streets book (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0006CJXYQ/monkey05-20) that all the streets in that area were renamed in the early 1900s. A developer wanted prospective buyers of some new developments to associate streets like Stanford, Berkeley, Wellesley (where I live), etc with the more prestigious addresses just a bit further to the north and closer to Macalester College.
