by Jay Gabler | 5/18/09 • Today the Daily Planet received a press release from Animal Alley, a New York ministry that "is sent by local churches into hundreds of schools each year, teaching the students good character through the use of live exotic animals and then inviting the students and family members back to the church for a presentation that evening." Press releases often feature absurd hyperbole (see Spud Too Tight, "the future of music"), but I think the Animal Alley ministers are on safe ground when they claim to offer "your #1 exotic animal Christian presentation." Here's a promo clip I found on YouTube. I guess I should have seen that "Jesus lizard" appearance coming, but the lesson on race featuring black and white chinchillas took me by surprise.
