Want a free coffee shop? Hiawatha Joe's is being given away on Craigslist

January 09, 2009
by Brian Moen, East-Lake.net
Free restaurant on Craigslist: Hiawatha Joe's (42nd and Hiawatha). Original space offered by broker is now free. Lease and improvements, city approval required. E=mail me today. First rent due on January 15, 2009, the date of takeover. Offer appears to be to good to be true but it is. Improvements will be in the area of $7,000.00 to $10,000.00. Rent will be $2500 per month plus cam. and utilities. (via) Great story about Hiawatha Joe's: They used to have a sign up on the back of the building so the McDonald’s customers could read it. Something about “Eat Healthy Around the Corner.” It’s gone now, but I thought it was a great idea.
