Which Minnesotans supported California's hateful Prop H8? Here's the list

November 15, 2008
by Andy Birkey • 11/13/08 • California passed Proposition 8 or Prop H8 (H8 = "hate," get it?) to rescind marriage rights for same-sex couples. It's one of the first times in American history that voters chose to take away a civil right at the ballot box.
Andy Birkey lives in Minneapolis. He is an LGBT community advocate and blogs on political, social, and community issues. Read his blog at Eleventh Avenue South
Here's a list of Minnesotans who cared so much about denying rights to gays and lesbians that they contributed financially to end same-sex marriage for California.

"I decided that as many people as possible deserve to see these names and their affiliations. Do what you will with the information, but I plan boycotts where appropriate and protests where possible. I encourage you to do the same. In the coming days I will publish the names of Minnesotans who took the time and expense to make a monetary donation on the issue of California Proposition 8. I will continue to flesh out the information as more becomes available. This post will cover those who supported passage of the amendment. Worry not, I’ll soon post those who donated to the fight against it as well."

Why is a dr. listing his clinic on donation against Prop 8?

This is dispicable that Dr. Townsend would list the clinic in which he is employed at along with his donation. Does that depict that the whole clinic, and workers all share his view? Or is he making a statement for others BY listing the clinics name? Tromping on the rights of others smacks of a bigot, self righteousness, and narrow mindedness. If people are going to list their donations the clinic only's name would be on the list, not a Dr. boasting his authority over speaking for others' in his place of employment. I would hate for you to be my Dr. You would squelch my opinion about my own body, and dictate your authority on that you know my body better than i do. Sad........... Signed Disgusted

Great Idea Ryan!

And we can also list the people who contributed money to pro-life wackos who blow up abortion clinics and assassinate doctors as 'supporting terrorism". I still wonder why, when the "Army of God" claims responsibility for bombings and killings, their billboard trucks with their name on them are allowed to drive un-opposed through the streets of American cities? Same with PETA. You commit terrorism, you should go to jail, not get a free pass.

Left Wing Nuts

Now we should put out a list of people who donated to the Barack Obama candidacy. These people support the murder of unborn babies.
