Tha Cutt: Tha Remix

TruArtSpeaks, the non-profit organization run by St. Paul poet/performer/educator Tish Jones, has just announced that "Tha Cutt"—the youth-oriented spoken-word open mic series that formerly met in North Minneapolis's now-shuttered Bean Scene—is being reborn as "Tha Remix."
Arts Orbit is a multisource blog about the local arts scene, featuring both original contributions by Daily Planet writers and entries reprinted from partner blogs and online publications.

The Northside's Capri Theater will be home to the new series, which, like Tha Cutt, will be hosted by Jones. The series will open at 7 p.m. this Tuesday, September 30, with a guest appearance by Native poet Bobby Wilson. Photo by Justin Schell, courtesy mnartists.org.
