Ward Two: Thune vs. Hosko

October 30, 2007
As part of the race for the St. Paul City Council, incumbent Ward 2 council member Dave Thune and challenger Bill Hosko recently met in a debate in St. Paul.

KFAI's Lauren Knapp sat down with the candidates after the debate to get their views on why THEY should represent Ward 2.

my first Daily Planet audio experience

Cool! Thanks for the coverage of the Ward Two contest. This entire KFAI/DP/SPNN/...media collaboration is very impressive, at least for this Midwesterner. FYI, the Thune audio track is slow and, well, inaccurate. But don't get me wrong - I still enjoyed the experience. Are we free to download the mp3 and, I don't know, pass it around? Put it on our website? I don't know the rules... May the best man win. And may the second best man get his gardening tools ready for the spring planting season. The mp3 sounds fine to me -- I suspect that the quality varies depending on your platform and browser. Unfortunately, with the many browsers in use, it is difficult to get everything to look (and now sound) the same on all. For anyone with difficulty in viewing / listening to any item on the Daily Planet, please e-mail editor@tcdailyplanet.net, describing the difficulty and telling me what browser you are using, and we'll try to find and fix the problem. Thanks!
