Deneen Pottery

Deneen Pottery, incorporated under Cloth & Clay, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business, based in St. Paul, MN. Deneen Pottery was founded in 1972 by Peter and Mary Deneen with the simple goal of providing exceptional, handcrafted, stoneware to clients.

Peter and Mary studied ceramics and pottery at Luther College (1966-1970) and from master potter Marguerite Wildenhain (1968-1978). Peter earned his MA at the University of Northern Iowa (1971). With more than 30 years of experience, Deneen Pottery has developed through several locations and creative specialties, both retail and wholesale, to emerge as the premier producer of custom logo stoneware.
