TUESDAY PICK | All My Relations spotlights emerging Native artists in "Making New Traditions"

Courtesy All My Relations

January 23, 2012

One of the most underrated aspects of the Twin Cities arts scene is our large and dynamic Native arts community, anchored by institutions like Birchbark Books and All My Relations Gallery. Eight emerging visual artists of Native descent are featured in the current show at All My Relations, Making New Traditions—organized in partnership with the Heritage Center at Red Cloud Indian School in South Dakota. Merging traditional themes with contemporary subjects and styles, these artists are sure to open your eyes.
