SUNDAY PICK | Give your heart to Blitzen Trapper and Sarah Jaffe at First Avenue
A friend of mine, when in high school, choreographed and performed an interpretive dance to Blitzen Trapper's "Furr." The heart-tugging (not to say twee) indie band inspire that kind of reaction, and there may be some less-than-dry eyes in the Mainroom at First Avenue on July 8 when the Portland quintet play a gig in support of their new album American Goldwing. Don't be late: opening for Blitzen Trapper—in her long-overdue Minnesota debut—is the powerful Sarah Jaffe.
