WEDNESDAY PICK | Dean Otto steps up for "The Defenders" at the Trylon Microcinema

If you only think of the Walker Art Center as a museum, you're doing it—and yourself—a disservice. Along with presenting an essential performing arts series each year (including, of course, a little event I like to call "Rock the Garden"), the Walker is one of the most important institutions presenting film screenings in the Twin Cities. That's in no small part thanks to Dean Otto, associate curator of film and video. Otto will be stepping up to the plate for Jim Brunzell's Defenders series at the Trylon Microcinema on July 18, presenting a surprise film that he fully expects to have to defend.
