Family Day in North Minneapolis

Family Day in North Minneapolis (Photo by Ariah Fine)

August 17, 2009
North Commons Park was packed with people Saturday (August 15) as folks came out for the 20th annual Family Day Celebration, hosted by the Minneapolis Urban League. Several local food vendors, games for the kids and great local entertainment acts were a huge draw.

More than 50 businesses, colleges, non-profits and other groups had information tables set up around the park. The Minnesota Timberwolves set up games at the basketball court and pony rides were available for the youth.
