"A united Northside," is how Deborah Lewis, a Hawthorne Neighborhood resident, described the goals of the north side block club leaders potluck on October 25th. Lewis organized the event with 3rd Ward Council Member Diane Hofstede, who was also in attendance.

The community gathering and potluck was attended by over a dozen block club leaders and community members. They discussed issues that they had concerns about such as livability conditions, youth activities and crime.

The group has planned a neighborhood walk and trash clean up for November 15th. They'll be walking around the Hawthorne neighborhood to get to know that particular area and concerns. For more details you can contact Deborah Lewis (612) 229-6133.
