American Indian OIC

The American Indian Opportunities Industrialization Center (AIOIC) was created in 1979 in response to the high unemployment and poverty rates in the Minneapolis American Indian community. It successfully fuses education and training with Native culture and the world of employment. Each year, it helps approximately 1,500 people from the Phillips area of Minneapolis and reservations in the surrounding area. Although AIOIC primarily serves American Indian people, its resources and programs are available to all persons regardless of race, creed, color, age, or gender.
